The Basic Principles of Healing

The basic principle upon which the modern medicine is based is twofold: poisoning and cutting. while in training physicians and nurses are taught that every drug is poisonous. that is why the caduceus-the symbol of medical profession embeds two twined serpents around a staff saying that too much of it can cause trouble. the poisons I've mentioned are in the form chemicals(pills) and radiation (x-rays and the such). the other method is cutting which means that once an organ has a defect and the chemical way is not effective then it should be cut out.

in great contrast with these. our body created by the Divine power of God is naturally equipped with mechanisms that are capable of restoring the body's natural rhythm once disrupted. here you will find an excerpt of the basic principles of healing written by the founder of Seventh-day Adventists and an advocate of Natural healing--Ellen G. White

so lets roll on these principles...

Principle I:

the solution is to teach the people. "the only hope of better things is in the education of the people in the right principles". let every physicians teach people that the restorative power is not ine the drugs but in nature.

Principle II

A disease is actually a cleansing process. disease is an effort of nature to free the system from conditions that result from the violation of the laws of health.

Principle III

In case of sickness, the cause should be ascertained. unhealthful conditions should be changed, wrong habits corrected. then nature (the body) is to be assisted in her effort to expel impurities to establish right conditions in the system.

Principle IV

Here are 8 natural remedies. " pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water and the trust to the divine powers."

Principle V

Prevention is always better than treatment. health is to be preserved. it is far better to prevent the diseases than to know how to manage and treat it.

Principle VI

the mind must control the body, or the mind will lose control of itself. the body is the only medium through which the mind and the soul are developed for the up building of the character. hence it it is the adversary of souls that directs his temptations to the enfeebling and degrading of the physical powers.

Principle VII

Health is not by chance but a result of the obedience of the natural law.

Principle VIII

There are important laws in our life which governs every part of our body--our diet and behavior

Summing everything up, failure to understand and practice these principles and obey the laws of nature can have terrible effects which can reach far into the future--disease and infirmities. let us understand that once we weaken our health, we eventually weaken our mind and mental power thus altering every aspect of our lives.

Everyone can be a winner, if he is determined to control himself and practice the right principles.

i guess that is it for now. stay posted to my next post---THE BASIC METHODS OF HEALING.
