Have you ever heard the names J.H Kellogg and John Tilden? well probably yes if you have been researching about the advocates of natural healing. J.H Kellogg is the advocate of of natural healing and the forerunner of water therapy while John Tilden focused on the natural remedies that we can use for various conditions. if you happen to read my posts below, it talks about the principles. and now we will be seeing the natural methods of healing.
those principles are little understood nowadays because we are now facing the era of complicated medicine.
if these principles we learn here will be applied and properly followed, can help you and your love ones for the rest of your lives.
so here are they...please note that these are recommended methods on assisting our body towards the healing process and an effective way of prevention.
Importance of proper care and diet
farmers grow plants in good soil. i guess that irrefutable. doing this will have them ahead of other farmers that are growing their crops on depleted lands. even pet owners who try to breed show animals feed them the right variety of foods to make them grow wonderfully. lucky for plants and those animals. but the moment we give contrast to our diet, whew i can't even say a word.
we almost forgot the importance of human nutrition. remember that the mind will be vigorous and achieve its greatest development when the body is well and good.

The Body's Self-Healing Mechanism
the human system is subject for wear and tear. meaning our body works even the most dreadful conditi
on of the nature around it. but when diseases strikes, the regular functions are temporarily set aside and the body shifts its activities from development to rehabilitation. instead of using energy for digestion and muscle activity, our body focuses on cleansing, repair, and rebuilding. so if sick, stay in bed and have light meals.
disease is meant to be a friend not an enemy that we should fear of. disease signals our body that something is wrong and we should take break and rest. imagine us without the "alarm".
Lemon-water Fasting
heard of fasting ryt? well it is thought to be the abstinence from food for a couple of hours or days. water fasting is done by many who wanted to lose weight. but i guess the me
thod of lemon-water fasting is far-off our ears.
this fast is generally consist of water and pure lemon or grape juice. it is not strictly a water fast because the latter is not as beneficial.
once the symptoms are present (fever and etc) it is advised that we should take this fast and when that symptom reside, then we can have light meals. the absence of symptoms may not be a sign that we are well but a signal that the sick person can start recuperation.
fasting provides physiological rest for us. meaning, instead of using energy for digestion our body can focus more on the repair of the damaged system.
our body can heal itself,if,only if, we permit it. so, work with the body not against it.
one thing, this methods lack the calories that the body will need for activity.don't worry healing process can goon smoothly even in that condition but physically, the person will be weak. so the fasting person should stay completely in bed.
Extra Warmth
while the sick person is fasting he needs extra warmth. the extremities usually get cold during fasting periods.it is therefore advised to provide him with a blanket. this is important but not always practiced in hospitals.
The avenues of elimination
during the healing process, the system goes into high gear in its efforts to eliminate the so-called poisons in our body. it must be aided in its efforts.
to do this,we must open the organs of elimination.
these are the avenues
as ive mentioned above rest is highly recommended for the sick. however a few,not stra
ining movements are needed also.doing this helps the elimination of wastes in the respiratory tract and prevents further infection due to build up of secretions by mobilizing it. to do this, stretch the extremities like we do before work out.turning from side to side also helps! yes it can mobilize secretions and prevents bedsores.

- the bowels- daily enemas or colonics are advised
- the kidneys- abundance of water is highly advised
- the lungs- so give a current of fresh air especially in the room of a sick person.
- the skin- give daily baths!
- spitting - uncommon isn't it? but this is found to be fifth method! both blood and the lymphatic system carry the impurities from diseased cells. both of then empties a part of its load to the right thoracic duct just behind the mouth so it can be spitted out as phlegm. so try spitting it rather swallowing it.
